This Harrier was first flown as a GR1 on 4 January 1972 and delivered to the RAF on 14 August 1972. It was converted to GR1A and later to GR3. It served 3 squadron and was sadly written off on 6 June 1976 following an engine failure after a turbine blade broke off. It crashed near Borken (Germany). Luckily, the pilot was able to eject to safety This photo was added on 21 September 2025, and has since been viewed 102 times. |
