This Harrier was first flown as a GR1 on 4 January 1972 and delivered to the RAF on 14 August 1972. It was converted to GR1A and later to GR3. It served 3 squadron and was sadly written off on 6 June 1976 following an engine failure after a turbine blade broke off. It crashed near Borken (Germany).
