The US Naval Flight Demonstration Squadron (USNFDS) was using this old Herc for their support. After this assignment, the KC-130F was transferred for operational service to VMGR-354 ('QB'), , VMGR-252 ('BH'), the Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division and finally with the Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 20. It was then stored at 309th AMARG at Davis Monthan (AZ) with inventory code 2G0038 from 28 December 2004.
