This was the 2nd B-25H built and was the prototype cannon-nose version. 23 Aug '43: TOS USAAF as 43-4106. Assigned to various units for testing. 1/46: RFC, Walnut Ridge, AR. 4/71: Richard Lambert, Plainfield, IL; was ferried to his grass strip. 8/81: Weary Warriors Squadron, New Lenox, IL; spent two months preparing the plane for ferrying to Springfield for restoration. Both flight attempts had engine failures so they continued the flight to Springfield on one engine. A few years later it was trucked to Rockford, IL for continuing restoration, completed in 1992. 10/15: Cavanaugh Air.
