Photo taken late in the day. Re-reg P4-MED in 2000 and retired in Apr 2005. Reg N910TE Dec 2015. Ferried TUS-MCI 14 Jul 2017 (after a long period of storage) for the TriStar Experience project at Kansas City Airport.

Delivered to PSA as N10112 in 1974. Stored at Marana in 1976. To AeroPeru in 1978. Stored at Marana again in 1983. To Worldways as C-GIES in 1985 then to The Flying Hospital as N787M in 1994. Reregistered as P4-MED in 2000. Stored at Tucson in 2006. To Tristar History & Preservation as N910TE in 2015. Flown to Kansas City for preservation in 2017.

PSA was not too happy with its Tristars. After just two years of service they were stored at Marana pending sale. In December 1978 N10112 was transferred to AeroPeru.

Parked up on the West side of the field but still looking as graceful as ever. Photographed whilst perched on a round wooden hub trying to gain as much height as possible to clear the fence.

In June 1985 Worldways took delivery of two L1011s as their first wide body machines. Both were originally delivered to Pacific Southwest Airlines, this one as N10112. Stored after Worldways ceased operations in 1991, the aircraft flew with several charitable organizations from 1994 until stored again at Tucson, AZ in 2002. Re-activated for a ferry flight July 14, 2017, it was flown to Kansas City, KS by Tristar Experience for use as an interactive lab in STEM education (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
