Rolling down 27L , this DC-8 was destroyed when it crashed near Asuncion, Paraguay on February 4, 1996. Other regns were JA-8018, N7015Q, HR-AMU, HK-3979X, and HK-3979.

This DC-8 got around, with more than a dozen operators during its career.

MK old and new colours together. 9G-MKE was originally SE-DBD with SAS and reached MK in 3.95 after periods with ONA, Icelandair, Kabo and Overnight Cargo. Became 9T-TDA in 2005 then 9Q-CAQ operated by Hewa Bora for the Congo AF. Behind is 9G-MKC, my fabulous transport in via KGL and back home to MSE with a load of fresh veg, sadly broken up at Filton 26/27.2.08

Trans Caribbean were the first owners of this DC-8 in 1965, followed by Air Centrafrique and UTA. LACSA leased her from 1982-84 and 1987-91. Bought by AIA in 1994 and later reg N809CK. Scrapped at Roswell, NM as N105WP around 2006

Built as a combi and delivered to Capitol as N4906C in 4.66, this DC-8 became a full freighter when acquired by UTA in 7.74. To SF Air 3.83 (here in the basic UTA colours) and Katale AT as 9Q-CVH in 2.88 going on to Transair, then Iberoamericana as HK-3984X in 12.94. Sold to Aeronorte 1.96, wfu Barranquila and derelict there late 2006

The former LN-MOH was built in 1966 and served a range of carriers as N722UA and later N902R after being sold by SAS in 1980. To Connie Kalitta in 2.88 and store at Greenville, MS from late 1999. B/u around 2005

Ex TF-FLB and bought in 2.88, being converted to -55F four months later. From 9.94 registered 5N-OCM (Overnight Cargo) then 5N-MKE/9G-MKE (MK Airlines), 9T-TDA (Congo Air Force) and by 2007 9Q-CAQ with Hewa Bora, continuing in service with the Congo AF as 9T-TCN

Originally operated by Seaboard as N803SW (though delivered to Flying Tigers) in 3.66, this DC-8F was leased to CargOman by Affretair of Zimbabwe between 1.77 and 6.82. On a rare visit and shot from my office roof. To Transair Cargo 5.98 (9Q-CDG) and reported being dismantled at Kinshasa 8.06 as 9Q-CJC

PH-DCU was delivered to KLM in 2.66 and sold as N29553 in 2.83 to United Air Leasing, later flying for TAAT amongst others. To Arax 11.85 but w/o at Cairo on 1.4.88 on departure for Sharjah when an engine caught fire on the second take-off attempt, crashing at the runway end. 53,176 hours logged. Sad to relate that plans to preserve former sister-ship PH-DCZ at the Aviodrome came to nothing, the aircraft being scrapped as 9G-MKA at Manston

This aircraft was delivered to Seaboard World as N801SW. It went to UTA as F-BOLN, then as seen here to the French Air Force with the callsign of F-RAFB. It went to the Togo Government as 5V-TAF and was later well known with MK Airlines as 9G-MKC.

Delivered new to Seaboard World in March 1966 as N803SW. Operated by CargOman under lease from January 1977 until June 1982.
