It was on a passenger charter on April 14, 1994, when it ditched into Botany Bay immediately after take-off. All on board escaped before -EDC sunk in shallow water. It was deemed not worth repairing.

In October 1986 the Dakota suffered a double engine failure on takeoff at RAAF Edinburgh and was damaged during the subsequent forced landing. Now on display at the South Australian Aviation Museum.
