This CF-100 was manufactured in 1958 as an all-weather interceptor and was one of the last batch produced. Later converted to a Mk.5D electronic counter measures (ECM) aircraft, it was used for simulation of enemy aircraft during NORAD exercises, fitted with wingtip fuel tanks instead of rocket pods to extend range for ECM duties. It served in the electronic warfare role with 414 "Black Knight" Sqdn in North Bay, Ontario until December 1981. It made its last flight on 10th February 1982 and is on loan from the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, Ottawa, painted black to represent the prototype.

Registered to Ormond Haydon-Baillie as G-BCYK on 18 March 1975 and cancelled on 15 September 1981 as permanently withdrawn from use. Later displayed suspended from the ceiling in the Airspace hangar at Duxford.

This Avro Canada CF-100 Mk 4 was retired from operation use in 1964 and used at Canadian Forces Base Borden north of Toronto as a technical training aid (serial 646B) and later stored in a radiation test compound near the south gate of the base. It was restored by volunteers in workshops at the base in the early 2000s and displayed outside the base's aviation museum located in a 1917 RFC (Canada) hangar where it was photographed beside two CF-5s and two CT-133s. It was later moved to a location further north outside the "WO & Sgt Mess, Juno Beach" on Flaise Road.

This CF-100 was civil registered as G-BCYK from 18-Mar-1975 until 15-Sep-1981, so here it is officially still civil.

The bat symbol below the cockpit indicates 440 Squadron. Aircraft taken on strength in 1955 and struck off charge in October 1962.
