Built in Canada by Victory Aircraft Ltd., ex RCAF KB889. Now displayed (attached to the rest of the airframe) at the museum in 428 Squadron RCAF markings. Registered as G-LANC on 31 January 1985 with the intention of restoration to airworthy condition, and cancelled by the CAA on 2 September 1991.

Pattern aircraft for Canadian Lancaster production, just flown across the Atlantic from Britain by Clyde Pangborn. R5727 was later converted for transport duties and registered as CF-CMS. Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (although according to the RAF web site, PA474 didn't join the BoBMF until November 1973). This photograph shows it before the mid-upper turret, found in Argentina, was fitted in 1975.

Victory Aircraft manufactured 430 Lancaster Xs at their Malton, ON plant, FM136 emerging in 1945. Sent to 32 MU St Athan in May 1945, it was too late to be issued to an active squadron and returned to the Pearce, AB depot in Canada. Eventually converted to Maritime Reconnaissance configuration, it was flown by 404 'Buffalo' (Maritime Patrol) Sqdn at Greenwood, Nova Scotia and later 407 'Demon' (MP) Squadron at Comox, BC carrying squadron markings RX-136 until struck off in April 1961. FM136 spent the next 30 years displayed on a pedestal at Calgary airport before joining the museum in 1992.

Besides the Battle of Britain Flight's PA474 in the UK, "Vera" (as she is known thanks to the painted code) is the world's only other airworthy Lancaster, although the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre's NX611 may in the not-too-distant future become the third.

Arriving for the following day's air display. This was prior to the fitting of the mid-upper turret in 1975.

Ex French Navy WU-15, NX611. Owned by the Historic Aircraft Preservation Society, and carrying the appropriate code 'HA-P'. Used as RAF Scampton's gate guardian for many years before going to East Kirby, where it is kept in taxying condition as 'Just Jane'. The long-term aim is to restore it for flight.

Originally built as a Mk.10 in May 1945. Converted into a Mk.10MR circa 1952 and retired circa 1955. Sold surplus in 1960 and moved to Nanton where it was on display next to the main north south highway for many years in front of the location where later the Bomber Command Museum of Canada was built.. When that was finished it moved inside and after an extensive restoration the Lancaster is now the star exhibit at the museum.

Parts of KB994, and the nose section of KB976 (sold in 1990 to Warbirds of GB, some parts later reported as being sold in 1992 to Kermit Weeks in Florida. The remains of KB994 were sold to Aces High, becoming G-BVBP on 4 August 1993. They sold them in 1997, and they are now in Australia with the Avro Bomber Preservation Association, to be used in the recreation of an Avro Lincoln based on major parts of RF342/G-APRJ. (It seems that KB976 (which became G-BCOH) swapped its front fuselage section with that of KB994 in order to replace the "long nose" then fitted to KB976.)
