A total of 1832 Avro Anson Mk II were built in Canada by five companies including 340 built by Canadian Car & Foundry in Amherst, NS (including No. 7135). Delivered to the RCAF in August 1942, it was assigned to No. 4 Training Command in November 1942, and allocated to No. 15 Service Flying Training School at Claresholm, Alberta in April 1943. Postwar, it was stored at RCAF Vulcan, AB and sold to a farmer and recovered by aviation enthusiasts many decades later. The restoration team spent 5.5 years and a total of 16,528 volunteer man-hours restoring this aircraft which was completed in 2009.

Registered as G-AGPG in 1945. Last flight to Southend for preservation in 1967. Damaged by vandals at Southend after the museum closed then moved to Lympne in 1983. Moved to Brenzett in 1986 and stored in the open then to Chadderton in 1996 and Hooton Park in 2000. Dismantled due to its poor condition in 2011/12. Front fuselage restored and moved to Woodford for preservation. Remainder scrapped.

Used to carry tourists to Rottnest Island off the coast of Perth. Flights stopped when Ansons were barred from carrying passengers or flying over water. After a failed attempt to sell VH-WAB to the Dutch air force in Dutch New Guinea, it was donated to a farming friend of Jimmy Woods as a play thing for children. Used for rain-making experiments. Retired in 1958 and sold to Adastra Airways at Sydney airport. When Adastra applied to reregister the aircraft, the Department of Civil Aviation advised that under the conditions the CSIRO registered VH-WMA it had to be scrapped when retired by it. NL153 was the prototype C.XII ambulance. Converted to a VIP aircraft and shipped to the RAAF for the use of the Duke of Gloucester, who was governor-general of Australia. Photo shows it on a trip to Queensland by the Duke in 1945. Retained by the RAAF after the Duke returned to the UK in 1947. Sold in February 1953 and registered as VH-PDC and as a civil Anson 12. A4-47 was one of four Ansons from 21 (City of Melbourne) Squadron deployed to Darwin to assist three Wellesley aircraft from the RAF Long Range Development Unit that had flown in non-stop from Egypt. The Ansons accompanied the aircraft on their travels around Australia. A4-47 served with the RAAF until it was stored in 1945. Disposed of in 1947. Photo from: Library and Archives NT

VH-MMB was delivered to MMA in 1947 ex RAAF and flew with the airline until its CoA expired in March 1959. By then it was operating scheduled services from Perth to Rottnest Island a short distance off the coast and for charter and aerial survey work. Despite being assessed to be in good condition, it soon had its wings sawn off. It was removed from the register in March 1960. Photo from: Library and Archives NT

Damaged at Condobolin, NSW and sent to Clyde at Lidcombe for repairs. Turret fitted by Clyde. With no airstrip at Lidcombe, R9884 taken by road to an RAAF base, probably 10km to Bankstown where 2 Air Park was stationed. Flown into Southend from Shawbury 14 March 1967 under ferry marks G-AVHU, which were quickly removed and the aircraft restored to the livery of 12 Group Communications Flight. Cancelled from the register 30 May 1984 as PWFU.

Ex W1731. Originally built as an Anson XI. Registered G-ALXH 16 January 1950. Rebuilt in 1955 to Anson 19/2 standard, being re-engined and using the fuselage of PH808. Shortly after taking off from Leeds-Bradford en route to Belfast on 9 April 1963, smoke filled the cockpit and it was thought the starboard engine had failed, whereupon that engine was shut down and a forced landing attempted in a field near Guiseley, Yorkshire, in which substantial damage was incurred. The three occupants were uninjured. Cancelled 14 May 1963 as destroyed.

Ex DJ168 and G-AKEW. Exported to Kenya in October 1949 and cancelled as sold in South Africa as ZS-DHN in June 1953. Later became VP-YKT and crashed at N'dola Zambia in 1954.
