K25 slide scan. Built 1954 as C-123B 54-592 for USAF, later converted to C-123K, retired to MASDC 1982. Auctioned as N9629N 1986, stored Avra Valley. North East Aviation Group, New Bern, NC 2000. Moved to Coastal Carolina Regional Airport for restoration. Airworthy from 2002, registered to Hagerstown Aviation Museum from 2019.

Former USAF 54-0709. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP064 in 1981. Transferred to the US Navy with park code 9C003 in 1984. Sold as N709RR in 1986. Had a number of owners. Used in the filming of Die Hard 2 by 1991 and Con-Air in 1996. Crashed in Alaska in 2010.

Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP073 in 1982. Sold for scrap in 2010.

Former USAF 54-698. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP024 in 1970. To the Khmer Air Force in 1973. Escaped to Thailand in 1975 then to the Royal Thai Air Force as L.4K-10/18. Displayed at Bang Plee from 2000.

Former USAF 54-695. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP069 in 1982. To the US Department of State as N8190B in 1989. To Peru as DOS-03 then PNP-022 and PNP-422. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP094 in 1993 then MC0001 in 1994. To the Minnesota Air National Guard Museum in 1997 then to Hawkins and Powers Aviation in 2000 and flown to Greybull, WY. Flown to the Mid America Air Museum, Sioux Gateway Airport, Sioux City, IA in 2007 for preservation.

Impounded as an illegal export. Former USAF 54-681. Sold to Darryl Greenamyer in 1987, hence the registration N681DG. He sold it. It was subsequently seized for falsified export paper work and auctioned by US Customs. It was purchased by Harry Doan and Norman Earle. Earle bought out Doan's interest after his death. It was flown to New Smyrna Beach and subsequently sold to an African based relief org. They failed in getting State Department export approval and a lien was enforced. Norman Earle helped Wally Fisk acquire it. It had two more owners and was seized again before it went to Hagerstown Aviation Museum in 2013. Transported by road from Fort Lauderdale Exec, FL to Hagerstown, MD in 2019.

Unfortunately it was raining on my only visit to an active C-123 base. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP058 in 1981. Registered as N4419F in 1983. To Corporate Air Services (a CIA front) as HPF821. Used by the US government to support the Contras in Nicaragua. Shot down near San Carlos, Nicaragua in 1986.

Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP054 in 1981. Sold as HR-ALK in 1986 and operated by the CIA for the Nicaraguan Contras while based at Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Stored and Fort Lauderdale by 1990 and reregistered as N674JK. To the Air America Foundation in 1992 and stored at Titusville, FL. Reregistered as N38LF in 2006 but not taken up. Still at Titusville in 2002.

To the US Coast Guard as 4668 in 1960 and returned to the USAF as 54-668 in 1969. Preserved at Lackland AFB from 1983.

Correct serial is 54-669. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP078 in 1982. Preserved at Pope AFB from 1983. Later repainted as 40650.

To the US Coast Guard as 4668 in 1960 and returned to the USAF as 54-668 in 1969. Preserved at Lackland AFB from 1983.

Former USAF 54-664. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CP053 in 1981. Sold to Military Aircraft Restoration Company as N22968 in 1988. To Air Heritage Inc. in 1994 and flown out of Davis-Monthan AFB. Maintained in airworthy condition and based at Beaver Falls, PA.
