A recent arrival at Holloman AFB for the 20th Fighter Squadron was this Luftwaffe F-4F. It's German serial was painted over on the fuselage and a USAF roundel put in its place, however, 3749 was left on the nose wheel door. The German flag was also painted over. It would eventually be repainted in the standard USAF colour scheme with serial 72-1159.
