The history on this aircraft would fill an encyclopedia! It was originally N727PA with Pan Am. Whilst owned by British Midland it was leased out to numerous airlines often on short term periods. Kuwait Airways leased it on three separate occasions, this being photographed at the end of the third time from Jan 77 to Aug 77. It eventually met its fate when it was damaged by fire on landing at Bogota (Colombia) 20 Dec 80 as HK-2410X with Aerotal.

Owned by British Midland, it was being prepared for a lease to Malaysian MAS. It was a short lease as it was returned on 13 November 1976.

MAS leased this ex-Pan Am 707 from British Midland for six months.In 1977 it returned to the US as N70798.

Originally Pan Am's N727PA from 1.60 and converted to 321(F) in 11.71 on sale to Donaldson, becoming G-AZWA next year. Repo by Pan Am on Donaldson's collapse in 8.74 and to BMA in 2.75. Leased to Kuwait, MAS and EAS; to International Air Leases 10.77 and to Bayu Indonesia before sale to Aerotal Colombia a few days before this shot still in basic Kuwait colours. Re-registered HK-2410X in 9.80 but did not last long as dbr at Bogotá on 20.12.80, crashing in heavy rain and dense fog. Ex Jamaica and Concord DC-8s to the right

Originally Pan Am's "Clipper Bald Eagle" N730PA in 1960, she was bought by Donaldson at the end of 1970 but was repossessed by PA when the British airline went under. Bought by BMA Sept 75 and leased to Syrian, Tunis, Kuwait, Kenyan, Dan-Air and PIA. Leased by General Electric Co 1983 and reg N707GE June 90. Used as a test bed and eventually dismantled at Mojave from 2003
