First flown 25 March 1964 at Schipol, in April 1964 leasd to Schreiner Airways as PH-SAF. To Braathens SAFE as LN-SUL 8 April 1965, named"Sigurd Munn" in 1971 or 1972. On 15 February 1977 it was transfrd to Airexecutive Norway, as the 3rd F27 from BU to BS. Airexecutive renamed Busy Bee of Norway in Septembr 1980 and in 1982 LN-SUL was repaintd to the new colours, as one of the last repaintd but also one of the first with black Busy Bee titles. In October 1992 LN-SUL was leased to Air Nordic, and became SE-KZE May 1995. In 1998 to Eureca and 1999 wfu at Malmö. Used by Flygskolan, Ljungbyhed

slide from J. D. Lezark. - Brockway Air was created from the merger of Clinton Aero and Air North in October 1984; five Fokker 27s, inherited from Air North, were operated. In 1986, the name Brockway disappeared again on the aircraft when the airline started to operate as Piedmont Commuter. - N60AN, originally built for Aero Peru, was broken up in 2009 after it had finally flown for WDL as D-AELI.

slide scan from the NK collection. - The operator of this Fokker Friendship was Uni-Air; the aircraft was painted in the old Uni-Air colours on this visit to Munich-Riem. After 8 years of service with Uni-Air, F-BYAO was sold to ARAT ("Avion de Recherche Atmosphérique et de Télédétection") and flew as a research aircraft until 2002. It was retired at Creil and scrapped after a few years.

slide by Andreas Dürr. - This is the third standard colour scheme worn on the Merpati Fokker 27's. PK-MFR, built 1959, came into Merpatis fleet in 1977 and was retired at Surabaja in 1993.

slide scan from my collection. - OY-APE, built for Maersk Air in 1970, flew for Alkair between 1984 and 1987. Its subsequent operator Star Air lost the Friendship in May 1988, when it crashed on approach to Hannover during a cargo flight.

First flight February 24th 1975 as PH-EXA. Delivered to Aeroperu as OB-R1042 May 7th 1975. May 1984 N61AN Air North, October 1st 1984 merged into Brockway Air. February 24th 1989 OY-SRZ Star Air. March 20th G-CHNL Dart Group, opf Channel Express. January 12th 1999 G-CHNL crashed on approach to Guerney, UK Seen pakerd at Fonrebu in May 1991, with Hisorcial Flight Invader parked behind, and a SAS DC-9 far behind on final approach to rwy 06.

slide from Adrian Stanislovaitis. - Midstate Airlines operated a fleet of six Fokker 27s from 1984 to 1986; all were leased to Chicago Air during 1986, until this airline had to cease its operations within the same year. The Fokkers were sold; this one here flew for Jersey Airlines and later in India as VT-UPD until 1998. The airframe was still in existance at the time of upload - used for training by an aviation academy at Mumbai.

slide scan from the NK collection. - IBERIA operated a total of ten Fokker 27s, eight new from the manufacturer and two second-hand from Garuda Indonesia. EC-BMS from 1967 was the first in the fleet and is shown here in a mid colour scheme (not the delivery colours). In 1981, the Friendship was transferred to Transeuropa and later to AVIACO; finally flew with CUBANA as CU-T1286 until 2001; b/u at Havana in 2002.

slide from E. H. Greenman. - Twenty years after its delivery to Air Inter (France), this Friendship enterd the FAA register in 1988 and was flown until 2004, when it was retired at Coeur d'Alene ID, used for spares and finally scrapped in 2021.

slide scan from the NK collection. - Friendship c/n 10245 was active from 1964 until 1996, finally as SE-KZD with Air Nordic/SWE Aviation. Its fuselage was used for some training thereafter, and it was reported at Groningen in derelict condition in 2022. - Air Executive Norway operated a total of five Fokker 27s, all of them were transferred to Busy Bee in 1980.

slide scan from th NK collection. - Sterling Airways has operated two Friendships for a few years, both aircraft were sold to East West Airlines of Australia in 1973. Friendship 10341 came back to Europe in 1999 and would fly for Farner Europe until 2009. Stored at Bergamo as HA-FAC, it was broken up after 2012.

slide from E. H. Greenman. - One of the four Fokker 27's that were operated by Suburban Airlines under the Allegheny Commuter brand (and as USAir Express after 1989). This particular example was sold to NEPC of India as VT-NEG in 1995. In 2022, It was finally scrapped at Chennai after at least 20 years of storage.

slide by Frank Pötsch. - Fokker 27 c/n 10121 had its first flight in 1959 and spent over 20 years with TAA in Australia. The turboprop came back to Europe in 1980 and flew for Uni-Air (shown here) and for Servisair and Flanders Airlines as OO-SVM after 1987. It was scrapped at Dinard in 1993.
