Delivered to the USAF 1 April 1985.

Built as a RC-135B. this RC-135V is returning in the late afternoon to Nellis, after supporting training flights over the Nellis ranges.

This F-16D was temporarily used as a trainer for the Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron. Marked with white surfacing (the position of the flags), white missile rails' on the wing tips, and a display circle (with 479 in it) on the intake, all used for perfect positioning during tight formation flying. In the back-seat a Thunderbird instructor is seen, while in the front seat a future Thunderbird pilot is likely evaluated by him. Strikingly, odd from the normal digits (1 to 8) in the display circle on the intake of a Thunderbird, this one is carrying 888 in it, so this is serial 92-3888.

This Aero Vodochody L-159A Advance Light Combat Aircaft (ALCA) was delivered with serial 6018 to the Czech Air Force on 10 May 2001. It served this air force up to late 2015. The L-159A was stored with the manufacturer and then sold to Draken International on 3 April 2017. It was modified to L-159E as can be seen on the fin.

Although carrying 421st FS markings and a Hill tailcode, this F-16 was destined for the 24th Tactical Air Support Squadron since June 2016. The 24th TASS was only activated in March 2018 at Nellis, several months after this photo was made. The TASS was already inactivated in May 2020. Its primary mission was to train forward air controllers (airborne) and joint terminal attack controllers in a seven-week course. To support the course, this F-16C carries a rocket launcher underneath its right wing.

Delivered to the USAF as an E-3B on 19 March 1981. First assigned to the 963rd Airborne Air Control Squadron at Tinker (OK), then moved to 961st AACS (as pictured) at Kadena (Japan), returned to Tinker, this time with the 966th AACS and later the 964th AACS. The Sentry was retired and stored at 309th AMARG from 3 August 2023.

This King Air was flown from West Georgia RAP, via Goose Bay (Canada) and Keflavik (Iceland) to the Dutch Lelystad AP on 28 and 29 May'24. The Beech was deployed with the National Nuclear Security Administration (US Department of Energy) and flew for the Aerial Measuring System. The AMS is based at Nellis and operates planes and helicopters and its mission is to provide a rapid investigation of radiation and contamination after a radiological emergency. AMS carries out this mission with specially equipped aircraft. N7232R was replaced by a 350ER in 2019 and sold to Zeusch in the Netherlands.

Delivered to the USAF in on 18 October 2017 and assigned to the 6th Weapons Squadron. Since January 2024, this Lightning II is transferred to the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke AFB (AZ).

Once a 707-338C airliner, delivered to Qantas as VH-EAB on 10 Jan'68 saw a long civil career. It is ex OO-YCL with Young Cargo from 28 Dec'77, ex P2-ANA with Air Niugini from 23 May'79, ex TF-AEC with Air Arctic Icelandic in Jul'85, ex SU-DAE ZAS Airline of Egypt from 23 Dec'85, ex ST-ALL Nile Safaris Aviation from 10 Jul'88, and ex 5B-DAY Avistar Aviation from 29 May'90, before it was transferred as N4131G to Grumman Aerospace on 28 May'92. Converted to E-8C JSTARS. It made its first flight as such on 17 Aug'95 and was accepted by the USAF in Feb'96. Retired to 309th AMARG on 14 Feb'22.

A Lot 35 Growler of FY11 playing the circuit of Nellis. Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 131 "Lancers,", based at NAS Whidbey Island (WA), is like all other VAQs specialized in Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. VAQ-131 was originally established in 1946 as Patrol Squadron (VP) 931. They flew up to 1955 the P2V Neptune. In 1956, the squadron transitioned to the A-3 Skywarrior and was redesignated as Heavy Attack Squadron (VAH) 4. In Nov'68, VAH-4 received the EKA-3 and was redesignated as Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron. In 1976, they received the EA-6B Prowler and in 2014 the EA-18G.

Manufactured as D-HDGN in 1975 and handed over to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 13 November 1975. Flew since with 299sq, first from Deelen, then from Soesterberg and until its retirement from Gilze Rijen air base. It was withdrawn from use in April 2002 and sold to Star Air Service at Teuge (the Netherlands) in October 2003. It was moved to Neuhausen ob Eck (Germany) on 29 August 2007 and was kept in storage at that location since. Fate unknown after 2007.

Terrible static fences... but its a fine old Dornier built Huey! It was here assigned to Heeresfliegerregiment (HFR) 10. The Bell 204 Huey was retired in late 2013 at Oberpfaffenhofen.

This Lynx (Westland WG13, ex G-17-32) was accepted by the Dutch Marine Luchtvaardienst (Naval Aviation) as a SH-14C Lynx Mk81 on 7 April 1981. It was assigned to 860sq at NA De Kooy and later modified to SH-14D. The Lynx made its last deployment on HNLMS Evertsen in 2012 and was subsequently preserved at the Dutch military museum at Soesterberg.

These original titles on the tailboom, "Force Navale Belge", were later replaced by just Marine. M-2 made its acceptance flight at Marignane on 11 Mar'71. It was delivered to homebase Koksijde on 18 Mar'71. M-2 crashed near Kortrijk on 7 Sep'79 when it was used for paradrops. The helicopter sustained serious damage to the tailboom but was repaired at Koksijde. It was again involved in an accident on 18 Jul'80 after a collision with a truck during the Open Door at Koksijde. Again repaired. The Alouette 3 was retired on 8 July 2021 and is since stored at the Koksijde.

Built by McDD in St. Louis (MO), this Spook made its first flight on 20 May 1974. It was delivered to the Luftwaffe with Foreign Military Sales serial 72-1171 on 20 June 1974. The aircraft was withdrawn from use at Neuburg air base in December 2006. It was handed over to the Wilhelm-Frankl-Kaserne for preservation by 25 April 2021.

Withdrawn from use with many parts missing (main rotor, tail rotor, engines, panels) at Trapani-Birgi from March 2007. It was dumped near a hangar of the 82° Gruppo CSAR from October 2014. Then offered for sale while stored at Trapani, part of an auction in September 2015 but still stil noted at Trapani in early 2023. It is here seen at the static of Koksijde, it was a very welcome visitor.

Carried a HFR 16 patch on the nose. This Bolkow was stored at Celle from 2017 awaiting sale. It was sold C-FZWF and later became N8628X.

The Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) operated five SAR Alouete 3s, all assigned to the SAR flight at Leeuwarden air base in the nothern province of Friesland, hence the Frisian flag furnished stabilizers. This H-81 was delivered to the KLu on 8 July 1966 and was withdrawn from use at its homebase on 18 March 1994. Following a year-long storage period at Woensdrecht, the Alouette was sold to the Pakistan Navy as 1381 on 9 August 1994.

Only retired the same month as this Open Door at Koksijde, this TF was stored Koksijde since July 1986. The Starfighter went to the USA in November 1990 and then to the Republic of China Air Force where it was used for spares.
