Although carrying 421st FS markings and a Hill tailcode, this F-16 was destined for the 24th Tactical Air Support Squadron since June 2016. The 24th TASS was only activated in March 2018 at Nellis, several months after this photo was made. The TASS was already inactivated in May 2020. Its primary mission was to train forward air controllers (airborne) and joint terminal attack controllers in a seven-week course. To support the course, this F-16C carries a rocket launcher underneath its right wing. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
