Ex-Royal Danish Air Force K-686 it was only on the British register from 18th January 1984 until 31st October 1984 when it was transferred to the USA as N54NA for Business Air of Burlington, VT. Sadly it was crashed and written off near Independence, NY., on the delivery flight to a new owner in July 1995.

Leading a seven ship formation of Air Atlantique / Atlantic Air Transport operated Dakotas. The other aircraft were G-AMCA, G-AMHJ, G-AMPY, G-AMRA, G-AMSV and G-ANAF. Quite a sight - and sound.

Ex USAAF 44-76488, delivered on 19 Mar 1945, two days later to RAF Montreal as KN397 on where it ended up with 12MU at Oakington on 8 Sep 1947. It became G-AMSV in May 1952, then N347DK in Feb 2008. Sold to Rajeev Chandrasekhar in 2011 and donated by him to the Indian Air Force Vintage Flight at AFS Hindon (Uttar Pradesh) on 13 Feb 2018. It received serial VP905, the same as the first C-47 in Indian service that transported the troops in 1947. It departed the UK on delivery to India on 17 Apr 2018, arriving there on 26 Apr 2018. It is seen here over a massive audience applause over Aero India 2023.

Painted with fake Exército Brasileiro (Brazilian Army) serial "EB-001" and the emblem of Comando de Fronteira Solimões / 8º BIS on the tail. This aircraft is former Aviopacifico DC-3 HC-ALD, impounded at the border town of Tabatinga circa 1997. This is where the Rio Amazonas meets the borders of Brazil, Peru and Colombia. The plane remained stored at Tabatinga airport until Oct 2011, when it was preserved in the garden in front of the local zoo/museum in Tabatinga, a 10 minute walk from the airport. The cabin and cockpit are in a terrible state, because they are accessible. Data plate was checked and confirmed as ex USAAF 42-100583.

Former US Navy R4D-6 Bu50799 converted to a C-47J in 1964 and C-47L in 1967. Served with the Air Attaché in Athens until SOC in 1970 and bought by Carolina Aircraft of Fort Lauderdale FLA. Passed through Luton in company with N10CA (ex Bu50797) on delivery. Later sold to Aerotécnica of Venezuela as YV-C-GAI and written off near Ciudad Bolivar in May 1972.

Gate guard for the long abandoned Zeljava airbase. Unfortunately this relic is covered in Graffiti and sticker bombed with lots of parts stripped out for souvenirs by visitors. Zeljava is a must visit when visiting Croatia.

Built as a C-47A, converted to RC-47N in 1966 and an EC-47N in May 1967. Seen passing through Elmendorf en-route to Vietnam where it joined 460 TRW/360 TEWS at Tan Son Nhut. Later served with several further units in Vietnam before joining the RVNAF via MAP in 1973.

Delivered to USAAF as 42-100884 in 1943, to RAF as TS423 in 1944. Depicted while in use by Ferranti with the nose fitted to test the air-pass radar for the EE Lightning. Registered as G-DAKS 14th Sept.1979, to Aces High 8th May 1980. Cancelled 5th March 1998 upon transfer to US registry as N147DC and still current as such February 2023.

This Sigonella C-117D was originally allocated as USAAF C-47A 42-108800 (c/n 11848), but was instead delivered to the US Navy as 17098. The rebuild to R4D-8 c/n 43340 was done in 1952, then redesignated to C-117D in 1962.
