The Widgeon II never carried a serial despite making some long-distance flights. It served for almost two years until it crashed in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, on January 6, 1930. The then new Widgeon was entry No. 20 in the NSW Aerial Derby in 1928. Margaret Picard collection photo. Photo from: Civil Aviation Historical Society, Melbourne, Australia
