This F-4 was delivered to the 33rd TFW at Eglin AFB, FL in April 1967 but deployed to SE Asia in July with the 435th TFS, 8th TFW at Udorn RTAFB, soon moving to Ubon RTAFB. Credited with downing two MiG-17s during a mission in November 1967 and another in February 1968 having been transferred to the 555th TFS "Triple Nickel" (the aircraft is now preserved with the 'FY' tail code of that unit). Later assigned to the 432nd TRW at Udorn then the 3rd TFW at Kunsan AB, Korea in August 1972. It was then flown by various units in the US, lastly the 89th TFS at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. Built as a U-2A with test registration N802X, this machine was converted to U-2G for aircraft carrier tests in 1964, then to U-2C. In April 1971 it was transferred directly from the CIA to NASA as N709NA, assigned to the Ames Research Center, NAS Moffett Field, CA setting 16 altitude and time to climb records for its class. Retired December 1976

An A-7D taken on strength in January 1971 and assigned to the 354th TFW at Myrtle Beach AFB, SC. In September 1972 it became the first of the type deployed by the USAF to Thailand for combat in Vietnam. The unit was back in the USA by May 1974 but it was assigned to the 125th TFS Oklahoma ANG, transferring to the 162nd TFS Ohio ANG at Springfield in 1983 where it remained until retired to AMARC in by 1992. In June 2000 it was sent to the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD for target practice but survived and was apparently at one stage displayed at England AFB, LA before coming to Robins in May 2021

Delivered to the USAF in November 1970 and assigned to the 27th TFW at Cannon AFB, NM. In January 1971 it was transferred to the 20th TFW (USAFE) at RAF Upper Heyford. The aircraft remained there until it was one of the last three F-111s to depart in December 1993. Flown to Robins AFB, it was placed on display at the museum in 1995. Note how the last two of the serial has been presented as it coincides with the squadron number

Built as a F-106A-130-CO by Convair at San Diego in September 1960, 59-0123 went into service with the 48th FIS, Langley AFB, VA and was transferred to the 318th FIS at McChord AFB, WA in July 1968. Just over six months later it returned to fly with the 48th at Langley until assigned to NASA's Research Center there for parts use between 1983 and 1991. It was trucked to Robins AFB in 1992 but was not presented as an exhibit until restoration was completed in 2005

The service life of this 'Sled' saw it assigned to the 77th TFS/20th TFW at RAF Wethersfield, 50th TFW at Hahn AB, West Germany, 4510th CCTW at Luke AFB, AZ, 309th TFS/31st TFW at Tuy Hoa AB, S Vietnam, 35th TFW at Phang Rang AB, S Vietnam and 131st TFS/104th TFG MA ANG. After withdrawal in 1978 it was placed on a pedestal at Otis AFB, MA where it deteriorated over the years. Moved to the museum in December 2010, restoration was completed in 2017. A former commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center earlier flew 180 combat missions in this jet

This Delta Dagger was delivered to the USAF in May 1957, assigned to the 48th FIS at Langley AFB, VA. In March 1958 it was transferred to the 95th FIS at Andrews AFB, MD, next going to Tyndall AFB, FL with 4756th Air Defense Group. In 1970, 56-1151 was redesignated GF-102 and became an instructional airframe. Two years later, it was placed on static display at Lackland AFB, Texas, where it remained until it was moved to the Museum of Aviation in 2009

The relatively late Fiscal Year (1949) for this T-6 is accounted for by the fact that it was part of a large batch remanufactured from existing AT-6 aircraft. From 1951 it served with training units in Texas and Missouri before being transferred to Spain under the Military Assistance Program (MAP) in 1957, delivered aboard an aircraft carrier. Flown by the Ejército del Aire as E.16-65, it was struck off in 1982 and returned to the US Government. The museum acquired the aircraft through disposal channels in 1984

On short final approach to Runway 30 for an overnight stop. Arrived from Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar as RCH853. Carries the markings of 126 ARW, Illinois Air National Guard, stationed at Scott AFB, Belleville, Illinois.

The museum's F-101F was delivered to the USAF in March 1960 and assigned to the 52nd FG, Air Defense Command at Suffolk County Municipal Airport on Long Island, NY. Its final assignment was to the 147th FIG (ANG) at Ellington AFB, TX before being flown to Robins AFB in 1982 for preservation

In for maintenance at Oberpfaffenhofen, USAF C-146A 97-3091 is a rather anonymous white livery.

This Voodoo latterly served with the 18th TRS/66th TRW (1968-69) then the 363rd TRW, 154th TRS Arkansas ANG (1975), 153rd TRS Mississippi ANG and 186th TRG, Key Field, Meridian, MS. To MASDC storage in October 1978. On arrival at the museum, for a time it was displayed in false Taiwan markings to represent an aircraft lost over China in 1961

Displayed in the markings of the 62nd FS, 56th FG (Selfridge AFB, MI) worn at the time, this F-80 is the only survivor of 16 aircraft to participate in the first overseas jet fighter deployment to Europe in 1948. After service with a pilot training unit at Luke AFB, AZ it was modified from F-80A to F-80C around 1953 and went on to fly with the Iowa, Oklahoma and Illinois ANGs. From 1959 it was put on display in a park in Aurora, IL, eventually going on show at Warner Robins in 1984

Starting off as a standard C-141A, 65-0248 was one of 270 Starlifters (out of the 285 built) converted to stretched C-141B between 1977 and 1982. It was later upgraded to C-141C with improved avionics and left Robins AFB in October 2003 having had the final C-141 PDM (Programmed Depot Maintenance). Operating units through its service life were the 60th MAW (Travis), 62nd MAW (McChord), 63rd MAW (Norton) and finally the 729th AS, AFRC at March ARB. Entered AMARC in April 2005 and soon allocated for display back at Robins

This A-10 was delivered to the 354th TFW at Myrtle Beach AFB, SC in July 1977. It later flew with the 355th TFW/TTW at Davis Monthan AFB before being retired and transferred to Eielson AFB, AK to serve as a GA-10A maintenance instructional trainer. In 2007 it was flown in a C-5 to Robins for display
