Starting off as a standard C-141A, 65-0248 was one of 270 Starlifters (out of the 285 built) converted to stretched C-141B between 1977 and 1982. It was later upgraded to C-141C with improved avionics and left Robins AFB in October 2003 having had the final C-141 PDM (Programmed Depot Maintenance). Operating units through its service life were the 60th MAW (Travis), 62nd MAW (McChord), 63rd MAW (Norton) and finally the 729th AS, AFRC at March ARB. Entered AMARC in April 2005 and soon allocated for display back at Robins This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
