Built as a F-106A-130-CO by Convair at San Diego in September 1960, 59-0123 went into service with the 48th FIS, Langley AFB, VA and was transferred to the 318th FIS at McChord AFB, WA in July 1968. Just over six months later it returned to fly with the 48th at Langley until assigned to NASA's Research Center there for parts use between 1983 and 1991. It was trucked to Robins AFB in 1992 but was not presented as an exhibit until restoration was completed in 2005

Assigned to NASA Langley Research Center from 1983 and in their hangar. Built in 1960. Moved to Robins AFB, GA in 1992. To the Museum of Aviation, Robins AFB, GA for preservation in 2005.
