A17-685 was a pre-war civil Tiger Moth impressed into the RAAF in mid-1940, as was A17-684 next to it. Photo taken before Japan entered the war because the Tigers still have red-centred roundels. What happened to A17-685 is not known. RAAF photo.

Part of a small collection of aircraft at the Shell garage on the Princes Highway near the RAAF base at Laverton. A68-105 was purchased by Dick Hourigan in October 1964 and over the next 25 years was displayed at several museums. In 1990 work started on making the aircraft airworthy and it flew in 1996 as VH-JUC. -JUC was its military callsign in the 1950s when the RAAF used the VM- prefix. The RAAF dropped civil style callsigns in the 1960s and the -J** block of registrations was released for civil use in the 1970s.

Photo taken at the nuclear test site for Operation Totem. The UK exploded two bombs on towers at the site in 1953. Several RAAF Mustangs were flown in and parked at various positions in the test area. The damage on the tail of A68-97 due to passing vehicles, not the blasts. Recovered and exported to the US in 1968 for use as spares by Cavalier Aircraft..
