Unmarked but this FGR4 was assigned to 3(F)sq during Anatolian Eagle 2022. The Typhoon made its first flight on 9 July 2015 and was delivered to the RAF on 18 February 2016. The pilot is here waving to the camera, with its hand as well as with the massive air brake.

On approach for Runway 12 at Prestwick, returning after a morning sortie as VENOM22. Carries on the port side beneath its cockpit the pennant of WG Cdr G. Montgomery, while the starboard side displays the commemorative marking "The MacRobert Fighter - Sir Roderic". Lady MacRobert lost two sons on active service with the RAF in WWII, one flying a Hurricane in the Middle East and the other in a Blenheim. She donated a Stirling and four Hurricanes to the war effort. The Stirling flew with XV Sqn as the defiant "MacRobert's Reply", a name continued on the unit's Tornados. After XV Sqn disbanded at RAF Lossiemouth in 2017, the based No 6 Sqn picked up the baton to keep the memory of the MacRobert contribution alive on one of their Typhoons.

An unmarked 6 squadron aircraft here with another two for a short deployment. The pilot asked for, I think his words were "Unrestricted Climb Out". Very impressive.

This aircraft was equipped with HEVS or Hercules Enhanced Vision System as indicated by the bumps on the nose. A lucky catch in Star Wars Canyon during a det at Inyokern Airport.
