W/O at Punta Cana on 12 Oct 2014 when it veered of runway on landing and burnt out. Three injured but luckily no fatalities.

Delivered new to TWA as N1058T on 28 Oct 1966. Sold to BMA as G-BMAC on 01 Feb 1980. Leased to Best Airlines on 10 Mar 1982 as N29529 and returned to BMA as G-BMAC on 01 Dec 1982. Sold to Intercontinental / TAESA as XA-SZC on 19 Aug 1995. The airline ceased ops 24 Nov 1999. Noted stored at Toluca 10 Mar 2002, last noted May 2011.

Operated by the RAE - Royal Aircraft Establishment and based at West Freugh in Scotland. First flight was on 20 Oct 1966 and delivered to the RAF on 16 Nov 1966. To 9Q-CPW in Oct 1996 with Waltair and later to Air Kasai. Scrapped in Rand SA around 2005.

Merged into British Airways 01 Apr 1974. To British Air Ferries 17 Jul 1981. Various leases while owned by BAF to Bouraq Indonesian, Polar Airways, Euroair and Virgin Atlantic. WFU and stored at Southend SEN Jul 1987. Broken up Mar 1991.

Operated by Air Bridge Carriers based at East Midlands. Now with its Elan Air titles replaced with TNT IPEC. New to the Royal Malaysian Air Force on 17 Jan 1964 as FM1022. To British Air Ferries as G-BEYF on 15 Aug1977. It spent time on lease with various companies over the years including Occidental Oil, Libyan Arab Airlines, TNT-IPEC of which Elan was a part. Bought by Channel Express Apr 1988. Last flight 09 Apr 1999 at BOH and WFU. This was the last Herald flight. Preserved at Bournemouth Air Museum then scrapped 30 Jun 2008 with the cockpit being preserved.
