Delivered to USAFE on 4 May'81 to the 36th TFW at Bitburg AB (Germany). The Eagle then flew with the 53rd TFS (as pictured), the 22nd TFS, was transferred to Soesterberg AB (Netherlands) to fly with the 32nd TFS, was used with in the Gulf War to shoot down a Iraqi Il-76 with an AIM-7M Sparrow and its 20mm guns on 2 Feb'91, returned to Bitburg to fly with the 525th TFS, 22nd TFS and again the 525th TFS. When Bitburg was closed, the F-15C moved to the 43rd FS and later to the 19th FS from Eielson AFB (AK). It then started to fly with the 33th FW from Eglin AFB (FL). Stored at AMARG since jul'09.

First flown in 1976 and delivered to II(AC) Sqdn at RAF Laarbruch, XZ106 flew 35 operations in the 1991 Gulf War, painted in 'Desert Pink'. After that it was transferred to 41 Sqdn and underwent modification to GR,3A standard, seeing service in the Balkans conflict in 1995. It was retired in May 2005 and joined the Manston museum in November 2008, where it was painted into arctic camo colours. I last shot this aircraft from a VC10 over the North Sea in 2004 - photo #2583

First flown in 1966, XR770 appeared at that year's Farnborough SBAC display in Saudi markings with a wide array of weaponry. Entering service with 74 Sqdn after that, she finished her career with 5 Sqdn at RAF Binbrook. After a period preserved at RAF Waddington, it was moved to the Manston museum in March 2015.

This CT-133 is painted to represent T-33 51-17415 which served the 406th FBW at Manston from 1952, then later the 20th FBW at Wethersfield and the 81st FBW at Bentwaters before being struck off charge at Mildenhall in 1963 and sold for scrap by Staravia at Lasham. It is really G-BYOY which was originally CAF 21231 before carrying four different US N-registrations.

Painted to represent a Meteor NF.11 of 85 Sqdn, this is really 1951-built TT.20 WD646 which served 3, 4 & 5 Civilian Anti-Aircraft Co-operation Units (CAACU) and the Central Signals Establishment (CSE).

Painted to represent a locally-relevant RAF Rescue Wessex HC.2, this is really a Royal Navy HU.5 which spent its career from 1964 with 700, 848 and 707 NAS and then from 1968 as a test and evaluation helicopter with the A&AEE Boscombe Down, largely engaged on worldwide cold weather trials. It was withdrawn from use as an apprentice trainer at Farnborough from 1986 and as a fire trainer at Manston by 1995, moving to the museum around 2000.

Photo taken two days after it was written off in a forced landing at Manston although there is no obvious sign of damage in the photo.
