Pobjoy-built in 1937, this Scion light airliner served as a floatplane prewar in Sierra Leone. Operational in the UK until the early 1950s, the aircraft became derelict and only its frame survived in storage. Remains were removed to Rochester Airport in 2013 and it is being rebuilt the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society.

The 1934-built four-engined biplane carried up to 16 passengers and I flew for 10 minutes this day around the famous Pleasure Beach tower and back again. This was the last extant DH.86 and was lost in an incident at Madrid Barajas on 21 September 1958.
