The photographer flew on this 1940 aircraft and some of the pictures in his series were taken at Vero Beach, Florida. Shortly hereafter on 30 July, N19963 collided with an F6F Hellcat, BuNo 72887, over Chesterfield, New Jersey, and crashed. Fingland's Anson I was flown on scheduled and charter services from its Ringway base between June 1949 and sale in early 1952. It later went to Kenya as VP-KME.

Built by Brush as NR845. Iraqi Airways YI-ABH December 1945 to December 1948. With Westair Flying Services January 1949 to March 1952. To F-OAND in September 1953, crashing in Gabon in June 1954.

Visible in this overall view of Barton are three Tiger Moths of the resident No. 2 Reserve Flying School which formed on 1 October 1948 and was disbanded on 31 March 1953.

Austin Motors-built Lancaster B.VII wears the code FCXV of the Empire Flying School whilst visiting Ringway from its base at RAF Hullavington. It wears the Far East white-top scheme with a rear yellow band to denote its training role.

Operated by 1301 Meteorological Flight RAF based at RAF Negombo, Ceylon. Passing through RAF Luqa en route. Scrapped in 1951.

Built in September 1938 as BGA378. Became G-ALPJ in April 1949. Later reverted to BGA378. Seen at the Derbys & Lancs hill top gliding site near Great Hucklow, Derbyshire, during a competition.

Seafire F.17's of 1831 Squadron Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve at their RNAS Stretton, Cheshire, base. SW992 is coded '107'. The three furthest still wear wartime camouflage.
