It came to Australia in 2006, being registered VH-UUV on 9 February that year (see my photo of it in that guise). Exported back to the USA and then again to Australia, this time as VH-FNS. This aircraft seems to have been a late starter in its civil career, having first been registered as VH-BTM as late as 5 May 1954. It seems to have suffered a crash in 1959 or 60 and to have been resurrected as VH-AUZ in 1994.

Built to RAAF order as a basic trainer and made its first flight at CAC's Fisherman's Bend aerodrome on 10 December 1956. Served with the RAAF until sold on 26 May 1970. Stored stripped and dismantled under various owners until acquired by Jeff Trappett in 1989. Restored at Point Cook, Latrobe Valley and Toowoomba. First flight at Toowoomba 7 April 1995. Currently based at Latrobe Valley and seen here at the start of the RAAF 90th Anniversary Air Pilgrimage.

Built to RAAF order as a basic trainer and made its first flight at CAC's Fisherman's Bend aerodrome on 10 December 1956. Served with the RAAF until sold on 26 May 1970. Stored stripped and dismantled under various owners until acquired by Jeff Trappett in 1989. Restored at Point Cook, Latrobe Valley and Toowoomba. First flight at Toowoomba 7 April 1995. Currently based at Latrobe Valley and seen here at the start of the RAAF 90th Anniversary Air Pilgrimage.

This Kinner-powered PT-22 was built to a 1941 USAAF order as a PT-21, serial 41-1918. It was retired from active service in 1944. It was imported to Australia in 1986 and registered on 6 October. It has been a long-time resident at Tyabb and is regularly seen at airshows and fly-ins throughout south-eastern Australia. This photo was shot at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

'Salvation Jane' at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in. This aircraft seems to have been a late starter in its civil career, having first been registered as VH-BTM as late as 5 May 1954. It seems to have suffered a crash in 1959 or 60 and to have been resurrected as VH-AUZ in 1994.
