Seen in ex-Saturn livery 19C was delivered new to Pan Am in February 1952, and leased out as LV-PFD and LV-HHR. Cvtd to DC-6A/B in 1963, and as a freighter was HC-ATH, N6385 and HK-1389. Crashed after departing Santa Maria February 4, 1976.

Seen stored in ex-NE livery. Originally delivered to AA in 2/53.

Built in April 1944 for USAAF as 43-15532. After many other operators, it flew for Tricon International from 11.73 to 09.76.

Delivered new to American in January 1986 and served the airline until retired in 2012.

Built in June 1940 for Braniff Airways. Served Trans Texas from June 1953 until retirement prior to 1968. Faded titles and registration still visible and still fitted with the AiResearch Maximizer kit. Moved to a nearby scrapyard in 1980 and broken up circa 2011.

Rebuilt by Lockheed Aircraft Services to Super 26 standard with deeper fuselage for executive transportation. Named "Koba Wiki" on the nose.

I have another photo of this Convair, from 1971 when she was in service with Iberia as EC-APZ. Delivered to the Spanish flag carrier in 10.59, leased to Lineas Aereas de Guinea Ecuatorial 1972-76 and sold by Atlas Aircraft to Mexico in 1980. Last recorded as stored in poor condition at Houston-Hooks Field having reverted to the Atlas reg N829TA

Originally thought to have been ex RCAF 9307 and to Mexico 8.3.74 (one of four CSR-110s supplied by Canada), but some doubt has now been cast on this aircraft's identity. Canadian Albatrosses had more powerful Wright R-1820-82 engines with an air scoop on top of the nacelle; this aircraft may in fact be one from two later batches of ex USN HU-16s, eight ex-DM in 1976 and four in 1978. Re-serialling later occurred and like many Mexican i/d's, this one is very difficult to verify

This 727 flew for the original Braniff from new in 3.74, passing on to People Express (N556PE) in 7.83 and to Amerijet (N196AJ) in 7.95. Converted to freighter but changed hands frequently and stored for long periods in Amerijet colours after 2002. Acquired by Zangeneh Aerospace 11.08 from the US Dept of Justice. Scrapped Chino 2014

One of SW's first acquisitions ex VASP PP-SMD uses the thrust reversers on landing at San Antonio on an intra-state flight within Texas.

Built as a PV-1 patrol bomber for US Navy serial 33161. Converted in early 1960's to Howard 500 standard with cabin pressurisation and DC-6 type engines and given new c/n. The ultimate piston engined 'executive jet'.
