A thorough scrub for Pelican 37.

Built as DC-3A NC33649 for United it was taken up by the USAAF and became one of only 2 C-52Bs. In 1944 it passed to civil use as NC33327 first with Northwest then Mid-Continent, Braniff and Trans Texas and a number of smaller outfits. In 1974 it was acquired by Provincetown-Boston A/L and later leased to Eastern Express before withdrawn from use in 1988 and sold to an owner at Fremont. In 2014, after 2 decades stored at Fremont it was was sold, made airworthy and flown to Thomaston, GA., where it remained until May 2017 when it was flown to a new base at Cape Cod Airfield, Marstons Mills, MA.

Acquired in the merger with National, this 727 crashed at MSY on July 9, 1982 when micro-burst induced wind shear forced it back to the ground just after take off, with the loss of all 138 onboard and 8 on the ground.

Delivered new 22nd March 1982 and re-registered N813US Oct 1987, then merged into USAir Apr 1988

Originally delivered to the U.S. Navy, serial 85883. Just two months after this photo was taken the aircraft crashed and was destroyed.

This DC-6, seen here in National's original 'Route of the Buccaneers' livery, was delivered in 1947. It was the first of eight DC-6s flown by the airline, which were then all known as Buccaneer 400s. Later to the Pima Air and Space Museum displayed as 42-31892. It had actually been 44-85828 is USAAF service.
