The wing was repaired. 1968: A hard landing at Bunker Hill broke the aircraft's back, permanently grounding it. It was then provided to the aircraft collection at Bunker Hill.

Ca.1954: Converted to TB-25N. 8/58: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. 8/59: Ace Smelting Company; sold to Sprung Aviation, Tucson, AZ, who registered it as N3570. 7/60: Converted as a fire tanker. 5/68: Tallmantz Aviation, Orange County, CA; Reregistered as N3507G. 9/68 to 1969: Loaned to Filmways Inc, Hollywood, CA, who operated it in Mexico for the filming of the movie "Catch-22." 8/72: Grissom Air Museum, Grissom AFB, IN.

By 2/51: Converted to DB-17G and flew to Kwajalein in the South Pacific for Operation Greenhouse nuclear testing. 1956: 3235th Drone Squadron, Patrick AFB, FL. Converted to a DB-17P drone director for testing various anti-aircraft missiles until the end of 1959. 8/60: WFU. 1961: Flown to Bunker Hill AFB (now Grissom AFB), IN, for display. 8/15: Trucked to the Museum of Aviation at Robins AFB.
