Flying with the newly activated 722ARW which went into effect on January 1 1994 and was then deactivated April 1 1996. The reason for this was that March AFB was chosen to lose it's active status and become an Air Force Reserve Base by one of the BRAC decisions in the early 90's. It's resident 22ARW was shifted to McConnell AFB and the 722nd took it's place at March until the KC-10's were all moved to Travis.
