Sold as D-ASAA in 1997 and converted to an A300B4-203(F) freighter for Channel Express as G-CEXI in 1998 then to ACT Airlines as TC-ACB in 2006. Damaged beyond repair when the landing gear collapsed while landing at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan in 2010.

Delivered to Sabena as OO-SLC in 1975. To Federal Express as N322FE in 1992 then to Cielos del Peru in 2004 and MTA Cargo as PP-MTA in 2006. Withdrawn from use at Sanford, FL in 2011 and scrapped in 2014.

Delivered to United Airlines as DC-6-61 N8093U in 1968. Converted to a DC-8-71 in 1981. then converted to a DC-8-71(F) freighter for Lan-Chile as CC-CDU in 1992. To Emery Worldwide Airlines as N997GE in 1999. Withdrawn from use at Roswell, NM when they ceased operations in 2001. Scrapped in 2005.

The prototype 727. First flew in 1963. Delivered to United Air Lines as N7001U in 1964. To the Museum of Flight Foundation and preserved at Everett-Paine Field, WA from 1991.

Delivered to Braniff Airways as N441BN in 1976. To People Express as N566PE in 1983. Leased to Southwest Airlines from 1983 to 1985. People Express merged into Continental Airlines in 1987. Reregistered as N15774 in 1992. Stored at Mojave, CA in 1999. To Fly Linhas Aereas as PP-JUB in 2000. Withdrawn from use at Sao Paulo-Guarulhos in 2002. Preserved near Campinas-Viracopos from 2020.

Delivered to Allegheny Airlines as N2704J in 1965. To Air South in 1973. Stored at Marana, AZ in 1975. To Holstenflug as D-BOOM then to Wirtschaftsflug in 1979. To Britt Airways as N381BA in 1982 then to Best Tool and Manufacturing in 1989. and CARA Express Aviation as D-BCEA in 1990. Withdrawn from use at Cologne in 1991 and used as a fire trainer. Scrapped in 2012.

Ca.9/47: Clark Field, Philippines; converted to RB-17G. 1950: Eglin Field, FL and converted to DB-17G. 3/51: 3215th Drone Squadron, Patrick AFB, FL, and converted to DB-17P. 1/59: SOC. 7/59: Converted to a fire tanker; for the next 16+ years it fought forest fires. 1977: Converted back to military configuration. From 1981 to 1985, with the help of Boeing, it was brought back to full WWII factory military standards.
