Not sure of the date the photo was taken. This aircraft was destroyed in an accident 12th December 1985 off Flamborough Head.

Former Indian Air Force Jaguar GR1 in external storage on the airfield at Warton after return to the UK. It was subsequently returned to the RAF as XZ398.

I cannot remember where this one was taken and the log book covering the period is the only one I have lost !

This former Moroccan Air Force MiG-17 was later repainted to represent a Vietnamese aircraft with fake serial 7469.

A nice quartet of various types in the UPS fleet. The Metroliner first flew in November 1983 and served with UPS until December 1996. To Pel Air Express as VH-EEO. Listed active at the time of the upload as N564TR with Sierra West Airlines (delivered December 2010). The 727 (ex. N7408U for UA and N497WC with Wien Air Alaska) was with UPS from September 1982 until June 1993. The DC-8 (ex. N123AF and N798FT) was operated by UPS from October 1984 until April 2009. The 747 seems to have been transitioning from AA (N9675) to UPS (N675UP). Also ex. OD-AGM with Trans Mediterranean Airways.

The 318th FIS operated the F-15A from 1983 until 1989, when the unit was disbanded. This particular aircraft crashed on 18 May 1989. From eyewitness and newspaper accounts, it seems that the a/c struck a guy-wire attached to a broadcasting antenna (WMBB-TV Panama City/FL) with the left wing, however the pilot managed to recover to Tyndall AFB with the F-15 left side trashed from the wire. On landing it departed the runway and wound up on its nose when the nose gear failed. The pilot made a hasty exit and left the #2 engine running which proceeded to suck up dirt until Flight Safety came and shut it down. Apparently the refueling probe structure was all that was holding the left wing on. Usable parts were removed and the rest was recycled.
