Taken during the CVWR-30 annual active duty training period. This A-7B is loaded out with MK.76 low drag practice bombs and Mk.106 high drag practice bombs. Both types have a smoke charge that detonates on impact.

This slide was taken during the 1979 Carrier Air Wing Reserve 30 annual two week active duty period. During this training all the air wing squadrons conduct operations together so as to maintain their readiness. The weapons loadout on the aircraft in the slide are Mk76 25# practice bombs. This A-7B is currently on display at NAS El Centro, CA.

VF-302 was a US Navy reserve squadron based at NAS Miramar, CA. When this slide was taken Reserve Carrier Air Wing 30 was on its annual two week active duty training at NAS Fallon, NV. The E and S markings indicate that VF-302 earned Battle Excellence and Safety awards for the previous fiscal year.
