Delivered in 1959 and operated until 1968 when it became N792SA with Standard Airways, then CF-PWW with Pacific Western. In 1983 it was scrapped for military aircraft parts.

Originally VH-EBE with Qantas. Also operated with Standard Airways (N793SA), Pacific Western Airlines (C-FPWW), Alaska Airlines (N793SA) and Bahamas World Airways (VP-BDE). Went to TAG Aviation in Apr 78 and to the Boeing Military Aeroplane Co in Jun 83.

A search on VP-BDE will almost invariably come up with the much later use of the registration on an Aeroflot DC-10F, but here is the first one. Another Qantas original, this was originally their VH-EBE, sold as N793SA in 5.68. Leased to Pacific Western as CF-PWW and seen here after preparation for another lease (Bahamas World also had VP-BDF & BDG). Sold by TAG to Boeing in 4.83 for KC-135 spares reclaimation; remains stored and later b/u at Davis Monthan

Fitting a 707 in the viewfinder in 1966 meant retreating deep inside the Civil Aviation hangar. The taxiway was later realigned for 747s.
