Queen's Flight

This a/c was only delivered to the RAF in April '65, so 7 months later it is sunning itself at Sharjah sporting "Royal Air Force Middle East" titles and belonging to the Middle East Air Force Communications Flight at Khormaksar, Aden. To the "Queen's Flight" in 1968 then to EL-AIF & 3C-KKP - since scrapped.

Delivered to the Royal Air Force as XS793 in 1965. To Liberia World Airways as EL-AIF in 1997 and Gabon Air Express as 3C-KKP in 1999. Scrapped by 2004.

Shown when in operation with The Queen's Flight. Eventually sold as 3C-KKP.

Four of the RAF's Andover CC Mk 2s were loaned to the Queen's Flight. Two (XS789 and XS790) were delivered straight from the production line. XS793 came from the Middle East Communications Squadron in 1968. The fourth, XS794, was an Abingdon VIP aircraft that was loaned to Queen's Flight on several occasions. The Andovers were gradually replaced by BAe-146s beginning in 1986.
