The Aviation Technical Museum first exhibits were aircraft which required maintenance and had been sent to Luhansk Aircraft Repair Plant. Some aircraft remained there, and subsequently were written from use and preserved for display in the museum. A very rare Yak-38U is one of the highlights of the collection.

Delivered to the Soviet Air Force in 1968. Transferred to the Ukraine Air Force as 40 black in 1992. Changed to 40 blue by 1996 and 01 yellow by 1998. Was the personal aircraft of the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force. Still in service in 2021.

Although dismantled in parts, it seems that this ex Soviet Hind was complete. It used to fly with 485 OVP at Brandis as it was noticed a few times at this airbase before the Soviet forces withdrew. They obviously did not take this Mi-24V with them!

I had to research this and couldn't find a single photo of it with "01" on the tail. According to the Soviet Transports data files on this website it wore this serial from Aug 93 to Jul 96. After that it wore UAF-63957 for about 5 months and then became just 63957. In Feb 2003 it changed again to UR-63957 and then reverted back to 63957 in Sep 2012. I should also point out that some databases incorrectly give the version as AK-3.
