Tailcode 'GA' for George AFB, Ca., the base was also used by the German Air Force to train their F-4 crews.

(note from scramble) This show was one of the RAF Germany open days held that weekend, the other one being RAF Gutersloh. People who visited this show they will remember it from the heat and the 16 Phantoms from RAF Bruggen that performed a mass baseattack during which they flew from behind the public with full afterburners.

"BLOODHOUND 108" QF-4S with VX-30. Aircraft was struck off charge on September 7 2004.

Back in 2000 the aircraft was painted to represent Steve Ritchies' F-4D 66-7463 when he recorded his fifth kill with "Triple Nickle" 555TFS over Vietnam in 1972. This aircraft is actually 65-0749 and the 'real' 66-7463 is on display at the USAF Academy in Colorado.

To the Turkish Air Force in 1984. In use as a ground trainer at Izmir-Gaziemir in 2000.

In the storage area at MASDC. VF-111 "Sundowners" last assigned to the USS Roosevelt. By October 1978 this squadron had just fully transitioned to the F-14A Tomcat. The squadron was disestablished on 31 March 1995. Also in the picture is 151510 / NM-204 c/n 700 which arrived in storage on 29 Sep 1977. 153012 was delivered @1967 as a F-4B. Later upgraded to a F-4N. To MASDC also on 29 Sep 1977 with inventory code 8F061. Later to Hayes Industries and put back into service (see photo 630414). Back to MASDC on 25 Jan 1984 with inventory code 8F-150. Departed 20 Sep 2004 to HVF West for scrapping
