Operating for the Doobie Brothers band and named 'Crewbie Liner' Originally built for the USAAF as C-53 41-20092 and delivered on 29 Jan 1942. Later to the civil register as NC15572, N83B, N26J, N26S then N2647 on 26 Jan 1956. PWFU in a derelict condition at San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2004. Registration cancelled on 07 Jun2017.

The logo with the word Speedbird is thought to be postwar. Dakotas carried out the UK - Lagos route, via Lisbon and Bathurst, until July 1947. G-AGHP was seriously damaged at Croydon in August 1947, which thwarted a transfer to Hong Kong Airways - VR-HDO not taken up. To BEA in December 1948. Converted to Leopard class freighter in 1953.
