Miss you Maki!

This aircraft is seen at the RAF Museum Cosford collection. It had recently been repainted and looked great.

Looking superb just after roll-out and wearing additional 'B' class registration for certification, this Belfast was formerly XR362 and one of four civilianised. The work required included the fitment of a stick-pusher to counter the aircraft's narrow stall margin. Wfu SEN as early as 1984, used for spares and scrapped 2.94

Four Belfasts await civilianisation by ATEL. Reading from left to right they are XR365, XR363, XR362 and XR367 which became G-HLFT, G-OHCA, G-BEPE and G-BFYU respectively

Sadly this Belfast was broken up at Southend on 23/24.10.08 after plans to put it back in service alongside sister-ship RP-C8020 (ex G-HLFT) down-under fell through. Seen here with PANAF titles (company wanted to buy all 10 Belfasts but never got going) prior to civilianisation for TAC/Heavylift, G-BEPS was ferried MSE-SEN on 30.3.01 for storage. This was to be the former XR368's last flight

The last surviving Belfast, now with Heavylift Cargo Airlines Pty and stored all-white at Cairns, Australia as RP-C8020, ex 9L-LDQ. Last service with UK Heavylift flown for KLM 29.5.99; ferried SEN-PIK 13.11.02 for overhaul and repaint before export. Alongside is G-BEPS which was to have joined RP-C8020 in service down-under but was scrapped in 10.08

53 Sqdn's "Heracles" was one of the 10 Belfasts delivered to the RAF in 1965 and went on to become Heavylift's G-BFYU

"Pallus" served with No. 53 Squadron of RAF Transport Command based at RAF Brize Norton. Sold to Rolls Royce in 1978 but no further operations ensued.
