Stored at AMARC since November 1993 and later in the United Aeronautical Corporation yard, along with a whole lot of other S-2s. The aircraft was offered for sale by the Navy in 1979 when VT-28 was transitioning to the Beechcraft T-44.

Delivered to the US Navy as S2F-3S 152825. Redesignated as an S-2E in 1962. Converted to an S-2G. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1975. Allocated to the US Department of Agriculture as N522DF in 1996 but not delivered. To Marsh Aviation, Mesa-Falcon Field, AZ in 1997 and converted to an S-2F3AT Turbo Tracker firebomber. To the USDA Forest Service. Reregistered as N425DF in 2001.

Delivered to the US Navy as S2F-3S 152806. Redesignated as an S-2E in 1962. Converted to an S-2G. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1975. To Grumman, St.Augustine, FL in 1985 then to the Republic of China Air Force as 2207. Converted to an S-2T around 1993. Transferred to the Navy in 1998. Withdrawn from use by 2013.

Delivered to the US Navy as S2F-3S 152804. Redesignated as an S-2E in 1962. Converted to an S-2G. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1976. To Grumman, St.Augustine, FL in 1985. Registered to the National Museum of Naval Aviation as N6194L in 1993. Cancelled in 1996. Never delivered. Scrapped at St.Augustine in 2011.

Delivered to the US Navy as S2F-1 136641. Converted to an S2F-1T. Redesignated as a TS-2A in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, CA in 1978. Sold to the California Department of Forestry as N427DF in 1985 and converted to a firebomber. Operated by Hemet Valley Flying Service from 1988. Destroyed in a fatal crash when it hit trees while on a fire fighting mission at Railroad Flat, CA in 1992.

First flew as S2F-3 147531 in 1959. Redesignated as an S-2D in 1962. Converted to an ES-2D for special electronics operations and development work in 1967. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1980. To South Seattle Community College, Seattle, WA in 1989 then to Marsh Aviation as N147MA in 1990 and converted to an S-2T Turbo Tracker. Withdrawn from use at Mesa-Falcon Field by 1995. Still there in 2022.

Delivered to the US Navy as S2F-2. Redesignated as an S-2C in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ on 1970. Left in 1988 then to South Seattle Community College, Seattle WA as N7046U in 1989 and used as a ground trainer. To Reno-Stead by 1999 and used by Advanced Aviation Services for cloud seeding operations to generate snowfall. Destroyed in a fatal crash on takeoff from Reno-Stead in 2000 due an engine failure.

On Celebrity Row. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1976. To the Argentine Navy as 0861 in 1995. Later stored at Bahia Blanca. To the Parc Del Bicentario, Navarro, Buenos Aires for display in 2023.

This is the last Tracker to leave the production line at Toronto Downsview Airport for the Royal Canadian Navy, #99. It wore the registration mark "1600" when in the Navy. Was briefly moved to the civilian register as C-FUDQ from April 1996 until cancelled in May 1998, but continued to display 1600 for historical/display purposes. For a long time, this aircraft was displayed in the Canadian Air & Space museum at the Toronto Downsview airport, but when it closed in 2011, the aircraft was stored in a variety of places before finding their new forever home on display at the Edenvale Aerodrome.

Now operated by Amicale Alençonnaise des Avions Anciens (A3A), the Alençon-based association best known for its ownership of four Dassault Flamants, this Firecat made its first flight under French civil registration on 10th October 2023. It is ex F-ZBET, originally USN S2F-1 Tracker BuNo 147559

Delivered in 1977 ex USN, retaining BuNo as part of serial. Withdrawn at Nowra in 1984 and prepared there for the Museum in 1987
