The third DC-3 to be imported into Australia. It was purchased by ANA and entered the Australian Register as VH-ABR in 1938. It was impressed by the RAAF as A30-3 during World War II. In 1957 following the merger with Ansett Airways, it flew with Ansett-ANA. -ABR passed to subsidiary Airlines of South Australia in 1961. ASA retired the veteran DC-3 in March 1971 but it flew on doing charter work for Ansett Airlines of Australia until 1975. VH-ABR was displayed at Melbourne-Tullamarine before being restored in 1988 for the Australian Bicentennial. In the wake of the bankruptcy of Ansett, it passed to the R.M. Ansett Historical Aircraft Society,

Delivered to Ansett WA in April 1985. Entered service with Ansett Australia in July 1993. Now scrapped.

Procured by USAAF as UC-61G 42-32155. Served the RAF as FK351 and seen in their WW2 South East Asia-type scheme. Civilianised as G-AJXA before going to Australia in the mid 1950s. The Australian register quotes c/n 362 and other sources quote serial 42-32156. Recent research indicates these are incorrect.

VH-JRH was registered in December 1983.

Ordered by TAA. it was first flown at Toulouse on October 29 1982 it entered the Australian Register as VH-TAE on 1st. of December 1983. Aircraft was named "John Fawkner". Sold to Pinnacle Cargo as N373PC in December 1998. It was later sold to Midex Airlines, UAE, and registered A6-MDC on the 20th. March 2008

VH-JMK was reregistered VH-JMV in January 2005.

VH-JJY sits in the pre-dawn twilight after arriving in the early hours from Brisbane and Sydney. Tragically that night, a Queen Air contracted to carry excess cargo from VH-JJY crashed claiming the life of the pilot. VH-JJY, which was owned by Ansett Transport Industries, was stored at Brisbane following the collapse of Ansett in 2001. It was ferried to the UK in 2005 and sold in Sweden as SE-DRN in 2006.

VH-JJG caught in the first rays of dawn. It was sold in New Zealand as ZK-JJG in March 1994

Ex ZK-NBD, DQ-FJA was with Air Pacific for four years from 1990. It was sold as N651TW in October 1994.

This aircraft was withdrawn from use on 30 November 1967 and broken up at Essendon 4 November 1969. The wings went to VH-ANR as replacements.

Operated by FIA on schedules and charters to Flinders Island in the Bass Strait, between Victoria and Tasmania.

VH-JBR crashed at Mornington, Victoria, on January 11, 2009.

VH-IXG crashed near Port Keats, Northern Territory, on September 2, 2000.

VH-IWJ crashed into the sea off Sydney on October 10, 1985.

VH-IWW was sold in the US as N2454M in March 1983.

Delivered new to Butler Air Transport in September 1955 as VH-BAT. Merged into Ansett in September 1958 and re-registered VH-RMO in May 1963. Retired in 1968 and broken up in 1976.

Proctor VH-AUC ex RAF P6194 and G-AHDI. VH-AUC was registered in 1951 and cancelled in 1964, and it is seen here displayed at the RAAF museum as 'A75-1' - but that RAAF aircraft was ex NP336.

VH-ITS was registered in August 1978.
