It was later found submerged in the water at Hunter Point, 7 nm from departure. The pilot and passenger did not survive and the aircraft was destroyed. Used seasonally, the registration lapsed in 2006 and the aircraft is pictured out of service. Put back on the register with a new engine and propeller in September 2021, it's current with Bamaji Air again at the time of uploading.
