Painted to represent the prewar record breaking Bellanca WB-2 NX237 with the "New York - Berlin" titles and number 140 it carried during its failed transatlantic flight on 4-6 June 1927. It never reached Berlin but landed at Eisleben, Germany instead. The smaller titles on the rear fuselage read "Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce", which organised this transatlantic challenge.
