Arrived in Alaska in October 1982 from storage at Davis Monthan when it was transferred to the Anchorage Community College at Merril Field. Moved to the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry in 1985 and remarkably sold onto the civilian market in 1992 as N447TV and returned to airworthy status. Still registered as such at time of upload and based at Phoenix Gateway but believed not to have flown for some time

The Seastar was a developed version of the T-33 for carrier training duties. It has a raised cockpit, with leading and trailing edge flaps, larger dorsal fillet and more powerful J33 engine. This civilianised example is ex Bu.144735.
