First delivered in May 1969 (as CF-WSE), this Turbo Beaver spent most of the 1970s and 1980s primarily in Alaska as N6776. It was purchased by the Washington Group in Missoula, MT in March 1991 and reregistered N164WC. That's when it started making regular visits to Canada, then in August 1993 it was imported by Seair Seaplanes as C-FDHC. It's seen here about to taxi away from the seaplane ramp at Vancouver Airport during a high tide. The ramp has been in the same location since Sea Island Airport and Seaplane Harbour first opened in July 1931.

The aircraft is maintained at the MNR hangar at Muskoka Airport and this is where the aircraft is converted to wheel/skis for winter operations on the frozen lake and snow. The aircraft is parked on the base helipad in this photo. The plane is used to fly Algonquin's park rangers to remote sites.

This DHC-2 Mk III Turbo Beaver was first delivered to the Province of Ontario in October 1967 and is one of five still in service with the Ontario Ministry Of Natural Resources as of late 2021. The aircraft are used for a wide range of wildlife, environment and wildfire management duties, with the landing gear changed between wheel/skis and amphibious floats on a seasonal basis so the aircraft can land in remote areas.
