Had just been returned from a lease to the French Protection Civile (the later Sécurité Civile) as F-ZBAZ, which is why it's still carrying their titles. The tricky thing is it has been converted from PBY-6A to PBY-5A which explains the smaller PBY-5A tail.

The FBA-2C which went up against the Cessna Skywagon and lost out, despite the handy back-door configuration for loading. One criticism is the lack of wing struts which makes dock handling difficult. Only 27 were built of which 9 survive in 2020 and this one crashed in 1974.

Freshly released from the US Army where it was 57-6110, this Otter has just arrived after ferry across the North Atlantic from its German NATO base. On the ground are the four 45-gallon drums which were strapped inside the fuselage for fuel. Temporarily registered N80943, it became CF-JIK for Ilford Riverton Airways. While later operating with Smithers Air Service in BC, it crashed and was DBF on 26 November 1979 attempting a take-off 600 lbs over gross and with C of G at 11 inches aft of limit.

The run-down after World War 2 released many Canadian made Anson Mk.Vs onto the civil market. Having plywood skin many quickly succumbed to the weather. This Austin Airways survey ship was one of the last in commercial service, making it to 1975. Delivered to the RCAF as 12082, it is one of 857 built by MacDonald Brothers in Winnipeg.
