Crashed at Dunstan Range on June 30, 2002 killed the two onboard. ZK-APO was on a cross-country flight but it was two days before it was reported missing. The inquiry found it had run out of fuel in poor weather conditions and over terrain that left no options for a safe landing. Bob Kerr photo.

G-AOPY/VS633 was among the last of 28 Percival Prentices of the 247 obtained by Aviation Traders from the RAF to achieve civilian status. It first flew as G-AOPY on 21st July 1960 and was intended for the Managing Director of Tradair. It was however not certificated and passed to this Childrens Playground in Basildon by February 1966. When photographed the civilian paintwork had worn away to reveal the original RAF markings and crude ferry registration. It was reported as removed and scrapped at the end of January 1975

A crest on the door says 'Norse Lodge' so probably employed to ferry customers and supplies. On 25 June 90 it crashed and sank taking off from Lac Blanc/QC.

The FBA-2C which went up against the Cessna Skywagon and lost out, despite the handy back-door configuration for loading. One criticism is the lack of wing struts which makes dock handling difficult. Only 27 were built of which 9 survive in 2020 and this one crashed in 1974.

Operated by St. Andrews from 1971 to 1979 when it was retired and broken up for parts.
