Built in 1987 as CCCP-72905 and operated by Russian Air Force/Aeroflot until 1999 when registered in the Central African Republic as TL-ABC and later TL-ADF with Centrafrican. Believed operating for Libya Air Cargo by September 2003 and serialled LAAF-723 with the Libyan Air Force by August 2005. On overhaul at Mitiga in October 2009.

Taken back in the day when Farnborough was a Royal Aircraft Establishment and the ICAO code was EGUF.

Reported to be used at the time by Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (МВД - Министерство внутренних дел).

Emergency is an Italian NGO, offering life support for civilian war victims (as indicated by the titles). The aircraft also carries very small blue "Operated by Aeroportul Internațional Mărculești" titles. This 1988 built An-72 was delivered to the Soviet AF as CCCP-72933, it was transferred as ER-72933 to Moldovan AF in 1994. The Vichi Air Company, an asset of the Moldavan AF, used the aircraft as ER-AFZ from 2000 to 2003. In Sep 2003 the air force took it back as 72933, but from Mar 2004 the An-72 was "civil" owned again with AIM. That company -still with links to the military- lost its AOC in 2007.

This An-72 was originally built in May 1989 as a 72S, the executive VIP transport version, and delivered to the Soviet AF/Aeroflot. It joined Eminex in September 1997 (as ES-NOG) and then worked for the UN before rejoining Eminex in February 2005. The plane is pictured here slowing down on rw06 and still wearing remnants of its UN markings. It would then depart for Angola and life with Servis Air and the Angolan AF. The plane is currently with the Angolan AF as T-707.
