VH-TVC seen from the balcony of the former control tower that had become the TAA terminal at Sydney. The building still exists but now largely hidden by countless expansions of the terminal over the past 60 years. Qantas is the current tenant. To orientate those familiar with the airport in the 21st century, the international terminal now occupies most of the background.

After service with TAA it was sold to Keegan Aviation in the U.K. but never flew again. It was broken-up by Ali Ingots Ltd in February 1970. Here she is seen under tow at Southend after arrival back in the U.K.

Photographed by TAA over Westernport Bay, probably in December 1954 ahead of VH-TVC's entry into service on the 23rd of that month. TAA's first Viscount, VH-TVA, had been the intended star of its promotional material (using photos from Vickers) but it was written off in a fatal training accident on October 31 before entering service. -TVC arrived in Melbourne about the time the 2nd aircraft, VH-TVB, operated the airline's first Viscount service after a period of intense crew training. -TVC was destroyed on November 30, 1961 when it broke up in a storm over Botany Bay. It was with Ansett-ANA at the time.

One of the few ex-TAA Viscount 700's to miss the scrapper's torch in Australia, it found it's way back to the U.K. but was eventually stripped of useful parts and scrapped at Southend in February 1970.

Delivered in 1956, VH-TVG was withdrawn from use in 1967 and scrapped in 1969.

VH-TVF was one of three Viscounts leased by TAA to Ansett-ANA in 1960. The two survivors - one had crashed - returned to TAA in 1966.

Returned in 1966 from a six-year lease to Ansett-ANA, VH-TVF was placed back into TAA service for a short time. It was sold in 1967.

Withdrawn from use in 1968. Sold for scrap at the end of the following year.

VH-TVF was briefly leased by TAA to Ansett-ANA in 1967. Ansett had previously operated it on lease from 1960 to 1966
